About Angie

For the last 11 years I’ve worked as a missionary with Campus Crusade for Christ. in Boulder, Colo. and now, Orlando. I direct the internal Web site that connects our American missionaries around the world. A journalist at heart, I love finding out people’s stories (whether for my job or at the mall). I also enjoy teaching Jazzercise classes at our office. The closest I’ve gotten to fame was back in the 4th grade when I was on the winning Nebraska-based New York Mets YMCA summer softball team in my hometown of Lincoln, Neb.

About Scott

I grew up in SW Iowa and have lived in the Omaha, NE region for most of my life. I met Angie while living in Omaha working for a wireless internet provider. During my courtship with Angie, I discovered the Lord was leading me to join her as a missionary with Campus Crusade for Christ. This blindsided me as I didn’t realize God could use a computer guy’s skills to help fulfill the Great Commission. As with any organization, computers occasionally stop working, printers need to be setup and software needs to be installed. I’ll also be helping our missionaries in the field with their various computer issues. These are examples of where I will fit the need at our international headquarters in Orlando, FL. When I’m not spending time with Angie I enjoy reading (mostly non-fiction/current events), playing basketball or golf, or just hangin’ with the fellas.

How We Met

We met in Russia during the Cold War when we were both spies for the U.S. Oh, wait, that was a dream Angie had. Actually, we met online, on Christian Cafe on April 21, 2007 with a benign e-mail from Angie to Scott. She’d been down to help with Katrina and saw that he’d also gone to the Gulf coast so she zipped him an e-mail asking him to tell her about his experience. The rest is history.
