Saturday, April 19

Wedding!!!
Point person & “crisis manager”: Jodi Wallace :)

  • 10:00 Angie arrives at church, to get hair done at 10:30, makeup at 11:15, dressed at 12
  • 11:30: Greg will make light lunch available at church
  • 11:30: Bridesmaids arrive, dressed or ready to dress at the church (Angie has jewelry for you)
  • 11:45: Groomsmen arrive, dressed
  • 12:00: Friends to pin flowers
  • 12:00: Laura & Natalie arrive to help Greg in kitchen
  • 12:30: Pictures of the men
  • 1:00: Pictures of the women
  • 1:30: Everyone clears out of the sanctuary
  • 1:30: In place: groomsmen (ready to usher), Betsy, Amber, Teri, Leslie, musicians, Robert & Sondra
  • 1:30: Keith, Scott & Kris wait in room off front of the stage
  • 2:00: Close guest book, have everyone find seats
  • 2:45: Ceremony over, wedding party and family to fill in distance between sanctuary and reception to greet people and to point people to kite-flying outside and/or to the reception
  • Sanctuary: Scott & Angie will dismiss guests, aisle-by-aisle
  • 2:45: Bob & Fran–head to the gym to begin greeting people
  • 2:45: Betsy & Amber–move your items to the reception
  • 2:45: Teri & Leslie–one of you take gifts to cars (Bring’s/Bentley’s) and one of you head to the reception to take gifts if people bring them to there instead
  • Sanctuary: Slideshow then musicians resume playing
  • Outside: Kite-flying (kite-masters, Drew & Jordan will set people up)

To help with potential confusion…At this point, the schedule shows events happening in both the sanctuary and the gym. We’ve chosen to not make guests wait for us before the reception gets underway, so you’ll see appetizers, the welcome and the buffet all happening before we and our wedding party arrive.

  • Gym: Beginning at 2:55, first guests potentially arrive, mingling, eating appetizers
  • Gym: Merrill sets up slide show and then sets up reception music
  • Gym: 3:45: Robert welcomes, blessing for meal (buffet) for guests.
  • Sanctuary: 3:30: Pictures–Mr. & Mrs. Bentley!!!
  • Sanctuary 4:00: Pictures–Scott, Angie and families
  • Sanctuary 4:15: Pictures–Scott, Angie and wedding party
  • Gym 4:30ish: Scott, Angie & wedding party to reception, announced by Robert
  • toasts

  • bouquet to longest-wed couple
  • 6:30: Scott & Angie change
  • 6:50: Scott & Angie leave reception–woo hoo!
  • 7:00: Team effort to clean up the reception, restoring it to the school gym it normally is
  • Tables & chairs borrowed from the Royal Room, returned
  • Tables & chairs broken down and stored where found in the gym (blue tarp can stay down–Bill will sweep up and roll it up)
  • Kitchen cleaned and restored
  • Gifts to cars (Bring’s/Bentley’s) to go to Lee & Rita’s house
  • Check for personal items: sanctuary, dressing rooms, kitchen, gym
  • Jodi locks up with the master key
